Privacy policy
Updated 21 October 2026
Your writing stays on your device
Typewriter stores documents and preferences on your iPhone. The app does not send your drafts, keystrokes or preferences to the developer. No account is required.
No advertising or analytics
Typewriter includes no advertising, analytics, tracking or third-party network SDKs. Its fonts and key sounds are bundled with the app.
Sharing is your choice
Copy places your text on the system clipboard. Share sends the text to the app or service you select. Those services and system clipboard features follow their own privacy settings and policies.
Storage, deletion and backups
Documents save after typing pauses and when you leave the app. Delete removes a document from the list and offers Undo Delete during the session. Its local file remains until a later successful document operation removes it. Removing the app removes its local data; offloading it can keep that data. Device backups may contain your documents and preferences. Manage backups separately in your device or backup service settings.
Support and diagnostics
If you email support, the developer receives your email address and the information you include. Do not send private drafts unless they are needed to explain your request. Apple may collect diagnostics under your device settings and its own privacy policy.

Publisher and contact
Michal Sadurski publishes Typewriter and controls personal information received through support requests and this website. Contact typewriter@kiwiprojekt.pl for privacy questions or requests.
Support correspondence
If you contact support, we process your email address, message, and any attachments to answer your request. Providing this information is voluntary. Without it, we may be unable to help with your request.
We use legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR to respond to questions, diagnose reported problems and keep the service secure. When necessary to provide a service you request, Article 6(1)(b) also applies.
We keep correspondence while we resolve your request and while it is needed for follow-up or legal claims. We delete it when those needs end, unless the law requires retention. We do not use support email for marketing.
This website and service providers
Cloudflare hosts and protects this website. Delivering a page exposes technical information such as your IP address, requested URL and browser information to Cloudflare. We use this processing to provide the site and prevent abuse, based on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
The site has no advertising, analytics, embedded third-party media, remote fonts, forms, or application cookies. It does not use local storage or fingerprinting. The hosting provider may process operational and security data under its own retention rules. Worker application logging is disabled.
Hosting and email providers process information as needed to deliver pages and support correspondence. Cloudflare operates internationally, including in the United States. Its published safeguards include the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses where applicable. See Cloudflare's privacy policy and data processing terms. Contact us for information about the safeguards that apply to a specific request.
Your privacy rights
Where the GDPR applies, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of your personal information. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Portability applies where its legal conditions are met. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
We do not make automated decisions about you or profile you. We receive support information directly from you. You can complain to your local supervisory authority or the Polish President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
The developer cannot read or remotely delete the drafts stored on your iPhone. Use the app's document controls to delete drafts and your backup provider's controls to manage copies in backups.
Policy changes
We update this page if the app, website or data practices change. The date at the top identifies the current notice.
